Discounted Long-Term Care Insurance for Philanthropy New York Member Organizations' Employees and their Families

Philanthropy New York is pleased to offer as a member benefit a 5% discount on Long-Term Care Insurance from Prudential. The discount is available to all employees of Philanthropy New York member organizations, as well as to their spouses/partners, parents, in-laws, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles. This discount is in addition to other discounts for which you may be eligible—10% if one spouse/partner is enrolled, 25% if both spouses/partners are enrolled, and 15% for preferred health status. This plan is completely portable, and the 5% discount remains in place for the life of the policy.

Long-Term Care encompasses a variety of medical and non-medical care for people who have a chronic illness or disability; among other services, it includes help with everyday activities like dressing and bathing. Long-Term Care can be provided at home, in the community, in assisted living, or in a nursing home. Many people mistakenly believe that they are covered for Long-Term Care services under Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance plans when they are not.

For more information, please watch the video or open the brochure on the program below. Philanthropy New York’s consultant, Thesco Benefits LLC, will work with any interested party (organization, employee, in-law, etc.) to explain the Long-Term Care Insurance plan, how it can be customized to suit your needs, and to provide price information.
