As Communications Associate, Yves H. Etheart works with the Director of Communications to produce print materials and correspondence for the organization and its members, including press releases, news analyses, and reports. He also writes for and edits several publications, including Currents, Philanthropy New York’s monthly e-newsletter; the Philanthropy New York Memo; and Voices from the Front Line, a series of profiles of Philanthropy New York members’ grantees. Yves also manages the Philanthropy New York blog, Smart Assets, and acts as the staff liaison to the Special Committee on Increasing Diversity in Philanthropy, which promotes the adoption of more inclusive practices by Philanthropy New York members and the greater philanthropic sector.
Prior to arriving at Philanthropy New York, Yves worked for the MIT Alumni Association and the Brattle Film Foundation, both located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has a Master’s degree in English Literature from Tufts University and received a B.A. in English Literature from Cornell University.
