PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Are you doing the job you signed up for?

What are the skills and competencies required to be successful in corporate philanthropy today?

Philanthropy is no longer a silo, reactive activity but a critical part of a corporation’s citizenship. As corporate philanthropy becomes more deeply embedded in the overall operations of a company, the roles and responsibilities of the professionals spearheading this work is and will continue to evolve. The traditional view of a grant maker is being dispelled to embrace a wider set of competencies and skills required to be successful in the corporate philanthropy profession.

In this session, we’ll examine the evolution of the field, drivers of change and case examples of prominent leaders. You’ll leave with a comprehensive understanding of the critical business function philanthropy plays in corporations and how to think strategically about your role’s influence and assistance in achieving maximum business and social impact.
